30 Day Husband Encouragement Challenge: Day 14

The righteous man walks in his integrity. (Prov. 20:7a)

Every week there are news reports about men who gave in to temptations and compromised what they said they believed. We hear countless reports about dishonest business dealings, hidden infidelity, and hypocritical leaders. It’s so easy to focus on these things and ignore those who are being honest, faithful and genuine. As you continue in the “30-Day Encouragement Challenge,” determine to look for ways that your husband stands against the culture.

Is your spouse a man of integrity? Is he fair in his dealings with people? Does he understand the meaning of justice? Is he honest in business? Unhypocritical in his faith? Consider all the ways a man can live in integrity, and praise your husband for one of them.

As you have the opportunity—as it is appropriate—share examples of your husband’s honesty and integrity with others.

  1. I will write to this one. While I haven’t checked all of the 30 days posts yet, this one hit me full on first thing. My husband believes so strongly in integrity, you can almost see it – as clear as his shirt. I could come up with countless examples of when he isn’t willing to compromise it, when he walks in honor and when he took the harder road because of his integrity. The most important – and most difficult for me – was when he had to tell me no to a job I wanted to take. He had prayed over the offer and prayed over it and God did not give him a yes – so he told me and I had to tell the company – no. It was so incredibly hard for him because he wanted to give his wife what she wanted but it was imperative that he obey God first. To this day I am not disappointed at all I had to turn down that job. He is an incredible man and I trust him with those decisions because I know first and foremost he takes it to God and stands on his integrity.
