10 Ways to Love Your Lover

Looking for ways to show love to your mate? Here are 10 ideas that just might jumpstart your love life tonight.

Put the kids to bed early and put a plan into action to save some electricity (this might work best on a night that your spouse’s favorite TV show is not on). Turn off the lights, the computer, the TV, and any other electrical device that might steal your attention. If you have a fireplace that requires electric, leave it on, but all other appliances should be off. Get out some candles, sit close on the couch, and enjoy the evening together with no interruptions.

Write a love letter to your husband. If you have trouble getting started, look at some love greeting cards or look up “love quotes” online and let your creative juices flow.

Draw a bubble bath for your wife and wrap her in a warm towel straight from the dryer when she gets out.

Make a meal that doesn’t require constant attention (crock pot or meal in the oven), put on soft music, and dance together in the kitchen while dinner cooks.

Revisit the “Story of Us.” Reminisce about how you met, what made you fall for each other, and your best vacation together.

Speaking of vacation, dream together of your ideal vacation. Where would you go? What would you do?  Plan to take the vacation, even if it will probably be years from now.

Take a walk in the moonlight. Hold hands or walk arm in arm.

Greet your mate at the door when he or she comes home. A hug and kiss after a long day of work can set the tone for the entire evening.

Write a letter to your in-laws to tell them what you love about your spouse.

Prepare your spouse’s favorite dessert and make a big deal of celebrating – even if it’s just a Wednesday in March.
